Boris hails from Pottsylvania; a small nondescript East European nation whose main export was low level thugs working for the KGB. At a young age he cheated his way into the Kremlin’s top spy academy and excelled at black ops and orchestrated mayhem. Unfortunately the cold war ended before Boris could be assigned his first mission. This led to several years of freelance work, crossing the globe and causing trouble wherever the price was right.
Soon Boris discovered two things about himself. First, he liked hurting people, a lot. Second, he was too big a ham and had too big an ego for undercover work. Professional wrestling seemed like the perfect fit.
Boris speaks with a faux Russian accent and favors dated black suits and his ever present black fedora. He has a dim view of the western world, believing it to be soft and weak. However he is an avowed capitalist (“the one thing the west got right”), his motto being “Take whatever you can get away with – then take some more.”
The years of KGB training have given him a deep understanding of pain which he puts to good use in his devastating submission hold. Boris is usually involved in some fiendish/overly complicated plot that eventually blows up in his face (usually literally as he has a fetish for old fashioned bombs). But he is ever the optimist, firmly believing that the next victim is just around the corner.
His entrance theme is an old scratchy phonograph recording of the Pottsylvania national anthem.
